Dear Curling Friends!

We are delighted to announce the addition of a second World Curling Tour Mixed Doubles event to our calendar for the 2024/25 season! Alongside the seventh edition of our established November tournament, we also invite you to visit Poland in March for another thrilling event.

The event will be played in the Curling Łódź arena - a state of the art, 4-sheet dedicated curling facility opened in August 2018. ISS Ice, Sports and Solar provided top level freezing system for our curling rink.

▪️ Prize money: 4000 EUR
▪️ Entry fee: 370 EUR
▪️ System of play: groups + QF, SF, F (five games guaranteed with 24 teams)
▪️ All games with thinking time
▪️ Free 30-minutes practice sessions available on Thursday morning
▪️ First game: Thursday 13:10, 15:45 or 18:50
▪️ Final starts at 12:20 on Sunday

A complete list of participating teams and the games schedule will be published immediately after the registration deadline. Some confirmations might be sent out earlier. Teams ranked in the top 100 (as of Week 40/2023-2024) of the WC World Team Ranking: Mixed Doubles will be confirmed immediately. The lists of registered/confirmed teams are available here. If necessary, the organizing committee reserves the right to select teams based of current World rankings. Entry fee must be paid no later than Feb 19th, 2025 (bank transfer details will be provided in an email in the first week of February). Should you require an invoice for your club/association/company, please provide us with your invoicing details including a valid tax identification number before making the payment. Entry fee will not be refunded for any withdrawals made after March 3rd, 2025. Any refunds requested before that date will be charged with a cancellation fee of 74 EUR.

The city of Łódź

Łódź (pronounced “woodge”) is Poland’s third biggest city, located 130 km south-west of Warsaw. Once a textile industry hub, it is now a vibrant, modern city with it’s 19th century castle-like weaving mills and eclectic palaces of rich industrialists turned into lofts, hotels, cafes, restaurants, boutiques, museums, schools and offices. The famous Piotrkowska street, which runs for over 5 kilometres, is one of the longest commercial street is the world. The massive renovated cotton factory complex, "Manufaktura", is one of the best examples of Łódź's industrial architecture. With numerous restaurants and cafes, 4-star hotel, shopping mall, cinema and an art museum it is a recognizable city landmark.
Łódź airport has direct flights from Milan, London Stansted, East Midlands and Dublin. It is also possible to reach Łódź by flying to nearby Warsaw Chopin Airport and taking a train, a bus or renting a car.
